ADC’s Aregbesola Warns Ruling Party Against Election Manipulation, Vows Victory in 2026

The National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rauf Aregbesola, has warned that the ruling government will not succeed in manipulating the upcoming elections, asserting that he is fully aware of their tactics.

Aregbesola made the statement on Tuesday during the unveiling of the ADC in Osogbo, noting that the date also marked exactly 15 years since his administration first took office in Osun State — an anniversary he described as symbolic.

He emphasized that the ADC offers a credible alternative to addressing Nigeria’s pressing challenges, including insecurity, poor governance, poverty, and hunger.

“Today marks the 15th year since we assumed office in Osun State, and our government was sworn in at this very location. It was on a Friday, but today is the day of victory. God has overturned the present government and even the federal administration,” Aregbesola said.

“They cannot rig the election; we know their tactics. Go and take care of the elderly women, dress them well, have them present at different polling units, and leave the rest to us.

“They have tried, but God is not with them because they started selfishly, without Him. They have failed in governance, the economy, and security. By August next year, we will meet in Abere, and after that, we will take over the presidency.

“There is no part of Osun where people do not resonate with what we represent. Our achievements and legacies continue to speak for us, which is why we receive such warm receptions whenever we visit, particularly here in Osogbo,” he added.
