Terrorists have kidnapped students and staff from St. Mary’s School, a Catholic institution located in Papiri community, Agwara Local Government Area, Niger State. The exact number of those taken is still unclear.
A source who confirmed the incident to Daily Trust on Friday said the school is still compiling its records. “Yes, it is true, but I am not in a position to give details. The church will issue an official statement later in the day,” the source stated.
Attempts by DAILY POST to contact the Niger State Police Command were unsuccessful. The command’s spokesperson, SP Wasiu Abiodun, did not respond to calls at the time of filing this report.
This abduction comes just days after terrorists attacked a government school in Kebbi State, kidnapping at least 25 students.
