The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released fresh statistics on the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR).
In its weekly update covering September 22 to 28, 2025 (Week 6 of the exercise), the Commission reported that a total of 6,232,673 registrations have been recorded so far. Of this figure, 3,250,338 (52.15%) are female, while 2,982,335 (47.85%) are male.
INEC noted that youths aged 18–34 account for 4,230,715 of the registrants. Students make up 1,565,824, and 137,865 are persons with disabilities (PWDs).
Providing additional details on completed registrations from September 22 to 26, 2025 (Week 5), the Commission said 1,004,132 registrations were finalized within that period. Out of this, 537,743 were completed online, while 466,389 were done physically at registration centers.
The breakdown shows 555,077 (55.28%) females and 449,055 (44.72%) males. Youths within the 18–34 age bracket accounted for 742,379, while students and PWDs recorded 354,406 and 13,987 respectively.
