The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has restated its commitment to ending godfatherism, money politics, and backroom deals in Nigeria’s political system.
National Secretary of the party and former Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, made this known on Sunday during a meeting of the Conscience Forum, where he also received new members into the party.
Aregbesola, who is also a former governor of Osun State, described the ADC as a divinely ordained platform for the liberation of Nigerians.
“ADC is not like any other party in Nigeria. Our ideology is people-friendly governance, and that is the most distinct commitment of our party—to serve the people,” he said.
He explained that the ADC is people-focused and has positioned itself as a political vehicle for workers, artisans, and the wider masses.
“You know them, and I know them. Bye-bye to jaga jaga, bye-bye to all of them,” Aregbesola added, stressing that the party’s mission is to build a system that prioritises ordinary citizens.
