Orji Kalu Vows to Deliver Abia for Tinubu in 2027, Calls for APC Unity

Posted on April 13, 2025

Former Abia State Governor and Chief Whip of the Senate, Orji Uzor Kalu, has confidently declared that President Bola Tinubu will win Abia State in the 2027 presidential election.

Kalu made the pledge during a meeting of Abia APC stakeholders held at his private residence in Abuja on Thursday. He emphasized his commitment to strengthening the party in the state, urging members to unite and reconcile for total victory.

“There is no faction in APC,” Kalu stated. “I am fully dedicated to rebuilding the party and ensuring its unity in Abia to support President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda for the benefit of all Nigerians.”

He further stressed the importance of forgiveness and cohesion within the party, saying, “I won’t allow President Tinubu to lose Abia again—not on my watch. We must come together, let go of past grievances, and make this party stronger. If I have offended anyone, I ask for forgiveness.”

Kalu’s remarks come as the APC seeks to consolidate its presence in Abia, a state historically dominated by opposition parties. His call for unity signals a push to position the party for victory in the next general elections.
