The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has reiterated his threat to cause chaos and unrest in states governed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Wike and Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State have been in conflict over the political control and structure of the state.
Amid this power struggle, the PDP Governors Forum has expressed their support for Fubara against the minister.
Feeling frustrated by the governors’ stance, Wike had warned that he would create trouble in any state whose governor interfered in the political crisis in Rivers State.
However, during an appearance on Channels TV Politics Today, Wike stated that he has not changed his position on his threat to the governors, asserting that nothing catastrophic would happen.
“I made this statement to the governors forum and I stand by it without any apologies to anyone. Even if something drastic happens, there will be peace.
“As the FCT Minister from Rivers State, the only governor I do not know is the governor of Zamfara. I have a relationship with all other governors, and they know me. It is unacceptable to violate the party’s processes and constitution,” he added.
